Stillmatic ist das fünfte offizielle Album des Rapper Nas. Es wurde im Dezember 2001 veröffentlicht. Mit Stillmatic als Comeback gelang Nas der Ausbruch aus der „Popwelt“ zurück an die Spitze der Eastcoast-Rapszene. Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt ist, dass Stillmatic in der Zeit der Rivalität mit Jay-Z entstand und somit gleichzeitig ein Battle-Album ist um den Titel King of New York (dominierender Rapper New Yorks). Das Lied Ether, in dem Jay-Z scharf angegriffen wird, ist ebenfalls auf dem Album. Stillmatic wurde von The Source mit fünf Mics ausgezeichnet. Nas ist somit einer der wenigen Rapper, die gleich zweimal für ihre Werke mit fünf Mics gekrönt wurden (Illmatic und Stillmatic).

Als erste Single wurde der Song Got Ur Self A... ausgewählt, welcher die Melodie der bekannten US-amerikanischen Fernsehserie Die Sopranos enthält. Die nächste wichtige Singleauskopplung des Albums war One Mic, das Nas ungewöhnlich emotional interpretiert. Stillmatic schaffte es in den USA bis auf Platz fünf der Top-200-Albumcharts.
Die zweite Single One Mic enthält Samples von Phil Collins Stück In the Air Tonight. Das Video zu One Mic spiegelt Szenen aus dem Video von In The Air Tonight aus dem Jahr 1981 wider. So wird etwa Nas Gesicht auf einer Wand bestehend aus vielen kleinen LED-Leuchten dargestellt. Zu Beginn des Videos sitzt Nas in einem leeren Raum auf einem Stuhl und legt verzweifelt die Hände auf den Kopf – genau wie Phil Collins damals. Auf My Country und What Goes Around bringt Nas seine antiamerikanische Haltung zum Ausdruck: „The indians saved the pilgrim and in return the pilgrim killed em, They call it it thanksgiving, I call your holiday hellday […]“
