West Virginia Independence Hall (en), errichtet 1859 als Zoll- und Gerichtsgebäude der Union, wurde es während des Amerikanischen Bürgerkrieges Sitz der Regierung West Virginias und ist heute ein Museum. Es ist seit 1970 im NRHP verzeichnet und 1988 zur National Historic Landmark erklärt.
