Der Alentejo Central ist eine portugiesische Subregion im Zentrum der Region Alentejo. Im Jahr 2021 verzeichnete die Subregion 161.575 Einwohner, ist damit die bevölkerungsreichste Subregion der Region, und eine Bevölkerungsdichte von 22 Einwohnern pro km2. Die Subregion hat eine Fläche von 7.393 km2, welche sich in 14 Kreise und 69 Gemeinden unterteilen lässt. Die Hauptstadt der Region ist die Stadt Évora, die mit 53.591 Einwohnern in der gesamten Gemeinde und 43.652 im Stadtgebiet die größte Stadt der Subregion und die größte Stadt der Region Alentejo ist. Sie grenzt im Nordwesten an die Subregion Lezíria do Tejo, im Norden an die Subregion Alto Alentejo, im Osten an Extremadura (Spanien), im Süden an die Subregion Baixo Alentejo, im Südosten an die Subregion Alentejo Litoral und im Westen an die Metropolregion Lissabon.
