Als Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) wird von den Sicherheitsbehörden der Vereinigten Staaten jeder Bereich bezeichnet, in dem Quellen, Vorgehensweisen und Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI, „sensible, abgeteilte Informationen“) gelagert, verwendet und erörtert werden. Der Begriff wurde unter dem Director of Central Intelligence eingeführt und vom Director of National Intelligence fortgeführt. Als Compartmented Area wird eine Räumlichkeit mit einem oder mehreren Räumen oder ein Bereich bezeichnet, die auf kontrollierbare Weise unterteilt sind. Eine entsprechende Akkreditierung ist erforderlich, um die Sicherheit von geheimen Operationen zu gewährleisten.
